Printing Process

Print Types

At Seliger Studio, we take pride in offering a range of exquisite, handcrafted prints that honor the artistry of photography.

Archival Pigment Prints

Hand-printed in our studio, these museum-quality prints showcase exceptional detail and vibrant color. Using the finest quality papers and inks, designed to resist fading, each image is reproduced with a fine art printer at an exceptionally high resolution to deliver unparalleled color accuracy and depth.

Gelatin Silver Prints

A timeless choice for black-and-white photography, gelatin silver prints are crafted in a darkroom. This traditional process involves exposing a film negative onto light-sensitive paper and developing it through a series of chemical baths to achieve rich tonal contrast and classic elegance.

Platinum Palladium Prints

Renowned for their beauty and durability, Platinum Palladium Prints are handmade using one of the oldest and most revered photographic printing methods. We collaborate with Arkady Lvov, one of the finest craftsmen in the industry, to create these extraordinary prints.

Why Platinum Palladium Prints?

  • Exceptional Longevity: Properly made prints can last over 1,000 years.
  • Refined Aesthetic: Diffuse reflective qualities provide a softer, natural finish without the glare of glossy prints.
  • Wide Tonal Range: Delicate tones and subtle gradations bring unparalleled depth to the image.
  • Stable & Durable: Printed on 100% rag paper, these prints resist curling and deterioration, ensuring lasting quality.
  • Unique Character: The deepest tones are lighter than silver-based prints, offering a distinct visual signature.

Each print type is meticulously crafted to showcase the beauty and intention of the original image.
